When that phone rings and it's a renter, you have to go into your office, boot-up your computer, and finally, open up the program where you keep all your information. How much time will that take? I think it's easier to quickly flip the pages of a calendar and reply with a simple “Yes, I have it available,” or “Sorry, that week is booked.”
By looking at your calendar you can figure out the answer in a matter of seconds. You could even respond when checking your voicemail from the road -- just have that calendar with you. No computer required.
