What to Do If You Can't See Changes Made to Your Listing
Tips for clearing your computer's cache.
If you have modified your listing or added photos and the page said “photos saved” or “changes saved,” then most likely the reason you are not seeing the changes/photos on your listing is that you are looking at an old cached page on your hard drive and you need to clear your cache. In other words you need to refresh the page in your browser.
What is a cache? A cache is temporary storage of web pages on your hard disk. The first time you view a page, the page is retrieved from the web site. If you request this same page again, the browser checks to see if this page is available in cache. For example, if you use the Back button to re-display a page, the cache can display the page more quickly than retrieving the page from the web site a second time. Sometimes you might not want a page to be retrieved from cache. The page you displayed initially may be different than the page currently offered by the web site. If a modification to a particular URL has occurred, you may want to see the updated page rather than the copy in cache. Your browser settings (and some contained in the page you requested itself) usually dictate how often your browser requests the page from the web site vs. getting it from your cache.
To Clear Your Cache Press the F5 key on your keyboard. If this does not work, then simply click the Refresh/Reload button while holding down the Ctrl key (Option key on Macintosh) to force the browser to get the page from the web site.
If the above remedy did not clear your cache, below are a few general links to explain better how to clear your cache.
Also note that some ISPs (AOL, Yahoo, etc.) will have a caching server that works similarly to your browsers cache. To help reduce traffic, your ISP may also cache the page and return it to your browser without making a page request to the original web site. There is no way to clear your ISPs cache except to wait for it to refresh on its own (usually a few minutes or hours).
