July 19, 2007: Walton County "Remove It or Lose It" Campaign

As of July 23rd, personal items left on the beach will be tagged, held for 24 hours, and then discarded.

From Beaches of South Walton County email:

"On Monday, July 23, The Walton County Sheriffs Department, Walton County Code Enforcement, Beaches of South Walton Tourist Development Council, and the Walton County beach activities coordinator will begin the "Remove It or Lose It" Campaign. Any personal items left on the beach overnight will be tagged and owners will have 24 hours to remove. If items are not removed, they will be discarded. We've attached a flyer that outlines the program. Please print and share with your staff and visitors as they check-in. If you do not interact with the guests at check-in, we ask that you make this information available within your rental units."
