Informal investigators hunting down non-compliant rentals.
Vacation rentals within 5 miles of Lake of the Ozarks must become a member of the Tri-County Lodging Association and pay a 3% lodging tax. Rentals not in compliance with the Tri-County Lodging Association on sites like HomeAway.com and VRBO.com will be sent a letter.
