August 5, 2007: Durango vacation rental owners now required to have permit
City now enforcing law that requires all vacation rentals that rent for less than 28 days to obtain a permit.
In April, the Durango city council passed a city requiring all short-term rentals within the city limits to obtain for a permit. City-code enforcement personnel are "browsing Web sites and contacting property owners who list privately."
