April 17, 2007: Three Hearings This Week in Santa Fe

Proposed changes to the rental ban.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, there will be three hearings this week regarding short-term rentals in Santa Fe at the Santa Fe City Hall council chambers.

Tuesday, April 17th, 11am: Business and Quality of Life Committee

Wednesday, April 18th, 4pm: The Planning Policy Commission

Thursday, April 19th, 6pm: The Planning Commission

The hearings pertain to the proposed changes to the existing short-term rental ban brought forth by Santa Fe city councilors, Karen Heldmeyer and Rebecca Wurzburger. The proposed changes would require the licensing of short-term rentals (less than 30 days) in the city and would limit the number of rentals allowed each year.
