Filling Out the Amenities Section of Your Vacation Rental Ad

Checklist for completing the amenities section of your vacation rental listing.

It may take some time and thought to complete, but the amenities section is a very important part of your vacation rental listing. Renters will often use this section when comparing two vacation homes side-by-side. To effectively showcase your property's amenities:

· Fill out all of the checkboxes that apply to your second home.
· Choose an appropriate theme. Please do not abuse the facility by checking contradictory themes (such as budget and luxury) or ones that are obviously inappropriate. This will only damage the credibility of your advertisement.
· Be descriptive and complete. It's especially important to list specific information about the beds and bathrooms.
· Include all amenities no matter how insignificant they may seem. If you have an amenity at your property or condo complex, it's always a good idea to include it in this table even if you don't think that most renters would care. Someone might choose your property over another because of it.
· Enter customized local activities. Highlight activities that are special to your area that we do not list in our table.
· Use the “Notes” section. This is a short section which enables you to expand or clarify the information about your property and features in the checklists above, e.g. details of the number and type of beds in a family room; size of the pool and if it is heated; details of additional kitchen equipment etc...

Utilizing the amenities table will not only further promote your property, it will also answer a lot of the questions that renters might have when browsing your ad, which means less work for you.
