Holiday Gifts for Cleaning And Maintenance Staff
The holidays come around and we think about buying gifts. Don't forget about your vacation rental housekeeper during the busy holiday season.
They're the eyes, ears, and hands that enable us to run our vacation rental businesses from afar. As the lifelines of your business, don't your housekeeper and maintenance person deserve a token of appreciation during the holiday season?
A good rule of thumb is the equivalent of one clean. So if you pay your housekeeper or maintenance person $75, send a gift around $75.
As for what to send. I think in this instance cash is really the best gift. I have cards that I have made up and used for years and years. On the outside they read "Peace...Love..." and on the inside they read "Practical Gifts! "
My housekeepers are on limited budgets, and I know they appreciate the cash. The way I look at it, I could spend $75 to send a fruit basket, or I could send $75 that could buy the fixings for their whole Christmas dinner.
