Liability Insurance and Vacation Rental Homes

Don't underestimate the importance of liability insurance on your vacation rental property.

When discussing insurance issues with your attorney or insurance agent, don't overlook liability insurance for your vacation home.

Personal liability insurance is something you shouldn't be without. Often, you can select this option as a rider policy on your current homeowner's insurance as an extension of liability on your second home (the only catch is that your current homeowners insurance company must write insurance in both states).

Insurance is important because, in our overly litigious society, what happens if someone hurts themselves on your property, then decides it's your fault? Protect yourself.
