Common Location Questions Received by Vacation Rental Homeowners

Learn the types of questions that other vacation home owners are receiving most frequently.

You're probably used to receiving multitudes of questions from your vacation home renters, and many of these questions are probably related to your location.  In the August 2008 newsletter, we asked homeowners to share the most common location questions they receive from their renters.  Read what they shared to learn what information to add to your vacation rental listing and vacation home directions.  Perhaps you'll be able to answer some of your guests' questions before they even have a chance to ask!

What are the most common location questions you receive from renters?

"What floor is the condo located? It is confusing when it is an elevated complex and the first floor is just for parking under the building. So the first floor of living area is really the second floor." - Dar, Florida.

"What distance from the beach?" - Norma R., Humacao, Puerto Rico (HomeAway 159136, VacationRentals 33956)

"What are the best/most reliable shops/ restaurants in the area?" - Kiki M., Barcelona.

"Estes Park is unique. It is the town, the mountains or Rocky Mountain National Park. My house is in the downtown location. I get asked how close my house is to downtown. Since my house was built in 1923, it is 1.5 blocks from the center of town." - Trish B., Estes Park, CO.  (HomeAway 182596, VRBO 174525)

"How can I offer travel insurance in the event of a medical cancelation?" - Steve J., Florida Panhandle (VRBO 77769)
