How to Convert a Word Document to a PDF
Tips for changing your contracts, receipts, and invoices into PDF files.
Often you may want to send documents (like rental agreements) to your guests as PDFs (Portable Document File) instead of Word documents. PDFs tend to be easier to open across platforms and operating systems. And by sending important documents as PDFs, your guests cannot easily change the content (in some PDF creators you can even restrict editing).

If You Already Have a PDF Creator Installed
1) Open your document in MS Word.
2) Click File.
3) Click Print.
4) Click the down arrow in the Name field.
5) Look for a printer option with PDF in the name.
6) Choose that option and click Ok.
7) Save your file as something easy to remember and find.
If You Don't Have a PDF Creator Installed
Buy the Adobe PDF software or download one of the many free PDF converters available out there (e.g. Foxit PDF) If you decide to download a free program, be sure to get it from a reputable site (like CNET's Download.com). After you've downloaded a PDF creator, follow directions 1-7 listed above to convert your documents.
