September 15, 2008: Kauai TVR Permit Application Due October 15

KAUAI, HAWAII—By October 15, 2008 owners of vacation rentals (called single-family transient vacation rentals or TVRs) outside a Visitor Destination Area must submit applications signed and stamped by an architect or engineer licensed in Hawaii. Owners must also provide proof that prior to March 7, 2008 they had been operating the property as a vacation rental.
