October 24, 2007: Short-Term Rental Bill Pending in Las Vegas
Vacation rental owners are encouraged to attend the city council meeting on Nov. 7th.
Dear Vacation Property Owners in the Las Vegas area,
Please see the attached petition against the proposed bill to ban short term vacation rentals in Las Vegas.
WE NEED YOUR HELP – Please see the attached document for a copy of the proposed ordinance for your review.
On the attached petition against the above bill, please provide the property address (or addresses) that you own in Las Vegas as well as your signature/date and mailing address. Once complete, please fax to 702-382-8558 (Las Vegas City Council) as soon as possible, but no later than Tuesday, Nov. 6th, 2007. Although this may not immediately apply to those of you that own in the City of Henderson, the Las Vegas City Council is trying to get a bill started there as well. If you know of anyone else that owns vacation or investment property in the Las Vegas area, please pass this petition along to them also.
Your support against this bill is crucial to the continued success of your rental property in Las Vegas. If you will be in the Las Vegas area and would like to attend the City Council meeting on the 7th, the address is listed below. We strongly recommend all owners of vacation rentals attend. The bill is up for passage/veto on NOVEMBER 7TH, 2007 at the City Council meeting at 9AM at the address listed below. Please fax or present your petition in person!
