Survey Results: Listing Updates

Compare the frequency of your own listing updates to our recent survey responses.

Many of our articles in the Owner Community have stressed the importance of updating your listing, not only to capture new renters but also to help ensure that your listing pages will be indexed by the search engines. But we were curious – how often do owners actually take the time to refresh their listing?

In the June 2008 newsletter, we asked the Owner Community subscribers how often they make changes to their property listings. We know that our subscribers tend to be a savvier group, so we were curious how these highly involved owners approach their listing updates.

Here's what we found:
While some update as often as once or twice a week, others simply refresh just once a quarter. It seems that the average length of time between updates was around 37 days.
