Two Reasons Why I Added a Local Attraction Book to My Property
Why you should have one, too…
Years ago, I started a local attraction book for my vacation rental property. The motivation behind it was twofold:
- To let the guests know about the local area restaurants, shopping, attractions, and sites;
- To answer questions regarding my vacation home, especially the amenities.
This book has been a lifesaver for me. I get far fewer calls from guests needing to know about my second home. Prior to creating my attraction book, I used to get calls from guests asking questions like, "Where do I find the parking passes?" or "Which remote works the satelllite TV?" Now, I even have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) list in an easy-to-find place for my guests.
My guests greatly appreciate my local attraction book. They love having an array of restaurant menus, directions to the grocery store, and maps at their disposal.
It's easy, inexpensive, and I'm sure your guests will appreciate a local attraction book, too.
A quick note: I insert a bunch of blank pages for the guests to jot down their own "local finds" too.
